Welcome to Hope Youth

For students in 4th–8th grade, Hope Youth is a place to make real friends, grow in faith, and be guided by trusted mentors who care about them. Through games, small groups, prayer, and Bible teaching, students discover who God created them to be and learn how to follow Jesus in everyday life. We partner with parents to help students build a faith that lasts—and have a lot of fun along the way.

FAQs

  • How do I know if my child is ready to participate in youth ministry?

Hope Youth is for anyone in 4th-8th  grade and is for students in all stages of faith. Whether your student is new to faith or looking to grow deeper, we’re ready to meet them where they are.

  • How will my child's first day at Youth go?

At Hope Youth, once your child arrives, they'll immediately be connected with a leader and introduced to the other students. Our groups are intentionally small, so no kid will slip thorugh the cracks.

Your student will enter the main service with you, then will be dismissed to join our youth leaders after the first set of worship.

  • Can I help lead the youth group?

Yes! We love people who are passionate about activating faith in the  rising generation — whether that’s parents, college-aged and young adults, or other church volunteers.

Anyone interested in leading a youth group must email us at info@hopesb.com for orientation, which includes an interview, background check, and ministry safety training.

  • Is Hope Youth safe for my child to attend?

Every staff member and volunteer who serves in our youth program is extensively background checked and interviewed.

Our church not only has 40+ years of youth experience, but we also run a large pre-school in Santa Barbara. This means our standards for safety are tried and true.
