What's Sunday Like?
Westmont Transportation
Westmont students, if you would like transportation from campus to Hope and back on a Sunday morning, call our church office at 805-682-6232 to arrange a ride.
Parking
Enter the main driveway at 3942 La Colina Rd, and follow the Hope signs to the main parking lot at the back of the property. Parking is free, and you can take any spot you’d like. Handicap and First-time guest parking is available in front of the auditorium.
Refreshments
Each week we get fresh coffee and treats for everyone to enjoy. The refreshments pop-up tent is located outside before you enter the building.
INFORMATION CENTER
The information center table is located outside before you enter the building. This is our main hub for information. They can answer questions, help you find where you need to go, and take care of anything else you need! If you are a first-time guest, be sure to stop by to pick up your free gift!
Auditorium
Through the “Welcome” pop-up tent, enter the double doors to the lobby, then through another set of doors to the Auditorium. As you enter, someone will hand you a program that has some helpful information in it, as well as a Connection Card. We'd love for you to fill it out with as much information as you'd like, so we can get to know you better.
Kids
As you come down the walkway from the back parking lot, follow the signs to the Kids Check-in table. There we'll meet your family, check your child in, answer any questions, and direct you to their age-appropriate room. We'll ask for some basic information: parent or guardian's name, kids’ names and birthdate, contact phone number, and any special instructions for your child. This is to ensure their safety at all times, and to equip us to give them the best possible experience! Infants through 4th grade will spend the entire service in the kids ministry. 5th - 8th graders will stay for the music at the beginning of the service, and then will be dismissed to their own program with our junior high leader. High schoolers will stay in the main service. For more information, check out our Kids page.
When to arrive
If you have kids, we suggest arriving 10 minutes early to get them checked in. We have free coffee and refreshments available to grab as a snack before you even enter the building, or you can grab a seat in the Auditorium and relax for a minute.
What to expect
We'll meet together for 60-75 minutes, starting with music from our live band and singers. The words will be on the screen so you can sing along, or just listen. Most people stand, but feel free to sit too. After some music, we might talk a little about some upcoming events or things happening at Hope. We receive an offering each week, but as our guest, we don't want you to feel pressured to give. Someone will get up and share from the Bible for a few minutes and usually conclude with another song or a prayer. We regularly update our dedicated Sunday page, so visit it to find out particulars for a given Sunday.
WHAT to WEAR
The all-important question! Dress comfortably. Most people like to dress casually, although there are some who like to dress up too.
